New languages supported by the brand new Service Pack - SP9
First blog post about the features introduced with the new Service Pack 9 in STAR's computer assisted translation system Transit NXT.
The much awaited brand new Service Pack of Transit NXT - SP9 - brings loads of new features as you read in our previous post. We will dedicate some blog posts to explain features about our new Service Pack in the coming weeks and here we go with the first one! As the localization industry is growing, we at STAR are growing along with it and are enhancing Transit NXT each time to best suit the requirements of the localization industry. Being able to translate projects to and from one's own language is one of the most important aspects for both - the translator and the project manager. The new Service Pack brings along with it loads of new languages that you can now work with - this means that you no longer have to depend on variants if your language was not supported earlier or you can now start using Transit NXT for working with your language.
Transit NXT now brings support for not one, not two, but eight additional languages and language variants. With this, both Transit NXT and TermStar NXT now support over 200 languages and cover all target markets relevant to your translations. We now support more Asian languages, one new official language of New Zealand in addition to English (New Zealand) which is already supported, more Spanish variants for the global Spanish-speaking market and two other languages spoken in Europe.
The following is the list of new languages supported by SP9:
Asian languages
- Tajik (تاجیکی)
- Pashto (پښتو)
- Dari (دری)
Tajik or Tajiki, also called as Tajiki Persian is a variety of Persian spoken in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Spanish variants
- Spanish (USA)
- Spanish (International)
Spanish being one of the most widely spoken language has a number of variants. Now you can use the above two variants which supports your locale specific language related features. You can create your translation projects in one of the many variants offered by Transit NXT or use Spanish (International) for standardizing particular Spanish language projects.
Other European languages
- Breton
- Corsican
